What is GABA Brown Rice?

As stated in previous section, GABA brown rice is just a brown rice that have more GABA than usual due to germination of the rice. GABA rice is a gernminated version of brown rice so to say.

What is brown rice then?

(Brown) GABA rice is an alternative to white rice. It is alot more nutritious than white rice because it only has parts of it husk removed(as opposed to having everything removed like in white rice).

By removing the outer husk and not much else, germ layer are still there on the GABA rice, thus it got more minerals and vitamins when compared to normal rice. Brown GABA rice also have higher magnesium and lower sodium.

In many places in Asia, due to brown rice's nutritional benefits - it's usually given to the elderly and the sick.
It wasn't eaten much otherwise as brown rice are considered as a food for times of poverty and war time rations. But today, it is a replacement for normal rice eaten by health-conscious people around the world.

Brown rice consumption

Brown rice are similar to white rice and can be use as its replacement. It is stickier and a bit harder to chew compared to normal rice and has a nutty smells and flavor - this is because brown GABA rice still have its husk intact.
Brown rice is slower to digest than normal rice, and because of this you can include it to your breakfast so you'll have a slower release of energy throughout the day.

Where to get brown GABA rice?

Many food markets and online stores now offered brown and GABA rice. Just ask you local food store or search around the net - it's not that hard to find the vendor!
